Smith Audemars Piguet was formed by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet, two persons’ family name. First the two persons worked on the polishing of the elegant parts of the watches. AP brand was established in Swiss in 1881. After the AP had been founded, the two started to research and develop the integrated watch themselves. Since then on , AP watches began to spread all over the world and become more and more famous.
In 1882, the first AP pocket watch with perpetual calendar born in the world, which symbolized the progress and wit of the two young men In 1889, the Grande Complication watch on behalf of AP wined the world’s acclaim in the 10th Global Watch and Clock Exhibition in Paris. In 1992, to mark the twentieth anniversary of the Royal Oak collection , the manufacture created a Swiss-law, not–for-profit Foundation, its goal is to contribute, within the framework of environmental protection and awareness of raising among youth to the conservation of forests around the world. AP’s success have close link with the interior system of the management; usually the Audemars family took the charge of the technology part, while the Piguet appeared frequently on the commercial activities. And this managing system has been utilized till now, a reason why AP enjoy the long-standing fame.
